
Dhahran Mall has concluded its highly successful PAW Patrol® “The Big Show Rescue” activation, welcoming more than 306,000 visitors over ten days and recording the strongest event-driven performance in the mall’s recent history.
Held from May 28 to June 6 in partnership with Paramount and Spin Master and produced by EventBox, the live entertainment experience transformed the mall into a family destination for visitors from across the Eastern Province. Families travelled from Dhahran, Khobar, Dammam, and surrounding cities, while the event also attracted visitors from neighbouring Bahrain.
The activation generated a 25.1 percent increase in footfall compared to the equivalent period last year, highlighting the enduring appeal of globally recognised family entertainment experiences. More than 66,000 children attended the live show, a significant rise from the typical average of approximately 10,000 young visitors during comparable periods.
Beyond attendance figures, the event delivered strong commercial results for retailers across the mall. A shopper survey conducted during the activation revealed that 93.4 percent of attendees made a purchase during their visit, demonstrating the activation’s effectiveness in converting visitor traffic into retail spending. Tenant performance across multiple categories reflected this trend, reinforcing the role of experiential entertainment as a powerful driver of consumer engagement and sales.

The event also generated significant digital engagement, producing approximately 1.37 million social media views across Dhahran Mall’s channels. Families actively shared photos, videos, and experiences throughout the ten-day activation, helping extend awareness beyond the mall’s existing audience and amplifying its reach across the Eastern Province.
Visitor feedback collected during the event provided valuable insights into community expectations and aspirations for the future of the mall. Among the strongest themes was enthusiasm for Tajdeed, Dhahran Mall’s ongoing renewal and regeneration programme. Families expressed excitement about the transformation currently underway, reflecting a deep connection to a destination that has served the Eastern Province for more than two decades.
The positive response reinforces Dhahran Mall’s commitment to creating experiences that strengthen community ties while enhancing its position as one of the region’s leading family destinations.
