Schneider Electric has completed the acquisition of Al Mayssan Technical Services Company Limited (MTS), a Jeddah-based Saudi engineering company specialising in control and automation for smart and sustainable buildings.
The acquisition makes Al Mayssan a wholly owned Schneider Electric company in Saudi Arabia and expands the energy technology company’s local capabilities across design, engineering, installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
The deal is also expected to strengthen Schneider Electric’s presence in the Kingdom’s western region and bring its engineering and project execution capabilities closer to customers.
Expanding Local Engineering Capabilities
Al Mayssan provides engineering and technical services across several areas, including smart buildings, industrial automation, data centres and critical infrastructure.
Its expertise covers building management systems, industrial automation and SCADA, energy metering, lighting control, data centre solutions, fire and life-safety systems, and security systems.
By bringing these capabilities in-house, Schneider Electric said it will be able to provide more integrated support to customers throughout the lifecycle of their projects.

He added that Al Mayssan’s local market knowledge and engineering capabilities will help Schneider Electric strengthen project delivery while continuing to invest in local expertise.
A Partnership That Goes Back Years
The acquisition builds on an existing relationship between the two companies.
Before the acquisition, Al Mayssan was a certified Schneider Electric EcoXpert partner specialising in building management and home automation. Years of collaboration between the companies established shared technology expertise, engineering capabilities and customer relationships.
Fayez Al Aswad, CEO of Al Mayssan Technical Services, said joining Schneider Electric represents a new chapter for the company and its employees, while combining Al Mayssan’s local expertise with Schneider Electric’s global technologies could create greater value for customers.
Al Mayssan will continue to serve its existing customers as it integrates into Schneider Electric’s Saudi business, with continuity of service, project delivery and customer support remaining a priority.
Strengthening Schneider Electric’s Saudi Presence
Schneider Electric has operated in Saudi Arabia for 44 years and currently employs around 700 people in the Kingdom.
The company has its regional headquarters in Riyadh and operates manufacturing facilities in Riyadh, Dammam and King Salman Energy Park. More than 20 Schneider Electric products are manufactured locally.
The company also launched its Energy Tech Academy Middle East and Africa in Riyadh in February 2026 as part of efforts to support the Kingdom’s Human Capability Development Program.
Walid Sheta, President of Schneider Electric Middle East and Africa, said the acquisition represents a long-term investment in Saudi engineering, talent and project execution capabilities.
He added that Schneider Electric is continuing to develop end-to-end capabilities for major projects while maintaining its wider partner ecosystem across the region.
Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Infrastructure Growth
The acquisition comes as Saudi Arabia continues to develop large-scale infrastructure and smart building projects.
With Al Mayssan now part of Schneider Electric, the company aims to combine local engineering expertise with its global energy, automation and digital technologies to support customers across the full project lifecycle.
The move further strengthens Schneider Electric’s long-term presence in the Kingdom and its focus on developing local capabilities to support Saudi Arabia’s growing infrastructure and energy technology needs.
