Khaleeji 27 Launches Comprehensive Media Guide for Journalists in Jeddah

The local organising committee for the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27) has prepared a comprehensive media guide for journalists and media representatives covering the tournament in Jeddah.

The tournament will take place from September 23 to October 6, 2026, with the guide designed to provide registered media representatives with a central reference for information, services and facilities throughout the competition.

One Guide for Media Operations

The guide includes information about the tournament, the eight participating national teams, match schedule, venues and key details to help journalists plan their coverage from their arrival in Jeddah.

It also outlines media services available at the stadiums, including the locations of media centres, working areas for journalists and photographers, press conference schedules and media activities.

Information on entry and exit procedures, movement routes and access to designated media areas is also included to help media representatives manage their daily schedules during the tournament.

Transport and City Information

The guide also provides operational information about media transportation and dedicated buses, including schedules and departure and arrival points.

Beyond tournament-related information, it includes an introduction to Jeddah, covering key landmarks, destinations and services that can help media representatives from inside and outside Saudi Arabia make the most of their stay in the city.

QR Codes for Media Content

Journalists can also use QR codes included in the guide to access tournament-related media resources from different locations.

These resources include live broadcasts, footage, photographs and video clips, allowing media representatives to access content for their coverage whether they are working inside Jeddah or from elsewhere.

Mohammed Qainan Al-Ghamdi, Head of the Local Media Committee for Khaleeji 27, said the guide was designed as part of an integrated media experience that begins before journalists arrive at the match venue and continues throughout the tournament.

He said more than 600 media representatives have registered so far, highlighting the level of interest in the tournament, and added that the committee aimed to provide journalists with the information and media resources needed to carry out their work.

The guide forms part of the local organising committee’s preparations to create an integrated working environment for media representatives and support coverage of Khaleeji 27 across different platforms.

The tournament will feature eight Gulf national teams competing across 15 matches at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City in Jeddah.
