Snapchat Introduces Commerce Power Pack Ahead of Holiday Shopping Season

The new performance updates are designed to help advertisers turn product discovery into purchases and optimise campaigns around business value.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September 2026: Snapchat has announced its Commerce Power Pack, a set of performance updates designed to help advertisers prepare for the upcoming holiday shopping season and improve campaign performance on the platform.

The new features focus on two areas: turning product discovery into action and giving advertisers more flexibility to optimise campaigns around the outcomes that matter most to their businesses.

Snapchat said its role in the shopping journey spans recommendations from friends, product discovery through Spotlight, virtual product try-ons using augmented reality and shopping discovery through Snap Map.

Turning Product Discovery into Action

Snapchat’s Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) use AI-powered recommendation models to help advertisers surface products based on their catalogues and conversion signals.

The company said a controlled study found that DPA campaigns optimised for Pixel Purchase delivered a 22% improvement in 7-day cost per acquisition (CPA).

As part of the Commerce Power Pack, Snapchat is also introducing DPA for Sponsored Snaps, bringing catalogue-based product advertisements directly into Chat, which Snapchat says is its most-used surface, with 85% of Snapchatters using it regularly.

The feature is now available to advertisers globally.

New Ways to Optimise Campaigns

The Commerce Power Pack also introduces new optimisation capabilities designed to give advertisers greater flexibility in defining and measuring campaign outcomes.

Value Optimization allows campaigns to optimise for return on ad spend and focus on purchases that generate greater value. The feature is currently in beta for both web and app advertisers and can also be used with Unified Attribution.

For web advertisers, Third-Party Web Optimization combines first- and third-party signals to optimise campaigns towards third-party purchase outcomes. The feature is currently in open beta.

Snapchat said early results from partners including Google Analytics showed a 23% lower third-party cost per purchase and 37% higher third-party return on ad spend.

Meanwhile, Omnichannel Optimization is currently in alpha testing. It is designed to capture purchases across both web and app within a single campaign based on where shoppers are more likely to convert.

Supporting Regional Commerce

Antoine Challita, UAE Country Head at Snap Inc., said the UAE and Saudi Arabia are highly competitive retail markets during the year-end shopping season, with consumers often making purchase decisions while interacting with friends or discovering products through creators.

He said the Commerce Power Pack is designed to help advertisers reach consumers during these moments while optimising campaigns for objectives such as customer acquisition, higher-value purchases and sales across web and app.

Snapchat said the combined updates are intended to help advertisers simplify campaign management while improving their ability to connect shopping discovery with measurable business results.
