350 Volunteers Support Khaleeji 27 Operations in Jeddah

Jeddah: A total of 350 volunteers are supporting the organisational and operational activities of the Arabian Gulf Cup 2026, known as Khaleeji 27, as Jeddah hosts the tournament.

The volunteers are working across various tournament venues, supporting teams throughout the competition and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the event.

Their roles cover several areas, including fan services, crowd management, media, protocol, transportation and operations. They are also providing support at stadiums and other tournament locations, assisting fans, national teams, media representatives and tournament guests.

Before the tournament began, volunteers completed training and preparation programmes covering their responsibilities, work procedures and the requirements of different venues. The training aimed to ensure consistent working procedures and strengthen their readiness throughout the competition.

Volunteers are now part of the daily tournament experience, working at stadium entrances, reception points, operational areas and media zones, while providing ongoing support to organising teams during matches.

Their participation forms part of the local organising committee’s efforts to engage national talent and provide young men and women with opportunities to gain practical experience and develop skills in organising major sporting events hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Khaleeji 27 features eight national teams competing across 15 matches. It is the first time Jeddah is hosting the tournament, with matches taking place at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City.
