Aquarabia to Open This Eid, Bringing Saudi Arabia Its Biggest Water Park Yet

A new kingdom of water thrills is about to rise as Aquarabia, set to be Saudi Arabia’s largest and most ambitious water theme park, prepares to open its gates this Eid al-Fitr, expected around March 19, 2026. This arrival marks a defining moment in the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving entertainment landscape, blending record-setting rides with family-friendly experiences.

Located in the heart of Qiddiya City, the sprawling entertainment destination southwest of Riyadh, Aquarabia will be the second major attraction to launch after the Six Flags Qiddiya City theme park debuted on December 31, 2025. The park is designed to be more than just a collection of water slides; it aims to become a must-visit destination for residents and visitors across the Middle East.

Spread across roughly 250,000 square metres, Aquarabia combines thrilling rides, immersive themed zones, aquatic sports, dining and retail options to create a full-day experience. The park will feature 22 rides and attractions, including world-first and world-record-inspired experiences that promise to redefine water-based fun in the region.

Some headline attractions include Surftopia, the Kingdom’s first surf pool and Junoon Drop, billed as one of the tallest and longest water coasters. Other signature rides, such as Slithereel and Speedy Jamezales, are designed to push the boundaries of water park thrills while offering unforgettable moments for adrenaline seekers.

Aquarabia isn’t solely about high-speed splashes. The layout incorporates nine themed zones inspired by Saudi Arabia’s landscapes and wildlife, giving each area its own identity and atmosphere. Guests can float along lazy rivers, unwind in calm pool settings, or test their skills in dedicated water sports venues, including kayaking and rafting zones.

Sustainability is also a central part of the park’s design. Qiddiya City officials say Aquarabia will use advanced water recycling systems and eco-friendly infrastructure that reduces waste and energy consumption, balancing entertainment with environmental responsibility.

For families, the appeal extends beyond rides. The park will include themed entertainment spaces, shows, dining outlets and shopping experiences, all within walking distance of pathways, green spaces and access points to other attractions in Qiddiya City.

Aquarabia’s opening comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 strategy to diversify its economy and build world-class leisure destinations that attract global tourism and enrich local communities. Positioned alongside the massive Six Flags park and future projects, the water theme park is poised to become a defining icon of Qiddiya’s entertainment revolution.
