Jeddah is preparing to host one of the biggest sporting events in the region as the 2026 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix returns to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit from April 17 to April 19, 2026. The race weekend is part of the Formula One World Championship and is expected to attract motorsport fans from across the world.

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has been part of the Formula One calendar since 2021, quickly becoming one of the most exciting night races in the sport. It takes place along the Red Sea coastline at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, a high-speed street track known for its fast corners and dramatic racing conditions.

The 2026 race weekend will follow the traditional Formula One schedule. Practice sessions will be held on Friday, followed by the qualifying session on Saturday, and the main race on Sunday, April 19.

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is considered one of the fastest street circuits in Formula One. The track stretches 6.174 kilometres with 27 corners, allowing cars to reach average speeds of around 250 km/h, making it one of the most challenging races for drivers.

Beyond the race itself, the event has become a major entertainment weekend in Saudi Arabia. The Grand Prix usually features concerts, fan zones, and entertainment experiences around the circuit, creating a festival atmosphere for visitors and locals.

The event is also an important part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to host international sports events and attract tourism under Vision 2030. Since its debut, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has brought global attention to the Kingdom’s growing sports and entertainment sector.

As April approaches, preparations are underway across Jeddah to welcome teams, drivers, and fans for another high-speed weekend on the Red Sea coast. The 2026 race promises to deliver another thrilling chapter in the rapidly growing history of Formula One in Saudi Arabia.
