AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 tickets go on general sale today

Football fans can officially begin securing their seats for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 starting today, as general ticket sales open for Asia’s biggest football tournament.

The Local Organising Committee confirmed that tickets will go live on May 12 following a 48-hour priority access window for Visa cardholders, which began on May 10. General sales are scheduled to open at 20:27 Arabian Standard Time.

The ticket launch comes just days after the tournament’s official final draw took place in Riyadh, where the 24 participating national teams discovered their group-stage opponents ahead of the competition’s opening match on January 7, 2027.

Saudi Arabia will host the AFC Asian Cup for the first time in the tournament’s history, with matches set to be played across Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar. Eight stadiums will be used during the tournament, including King Fahd Sports City Stadium, Kingdom Arena and the newly developed Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar.

The tournament will run from January 7 to February 5, 2027, featuring 51 matches across nearly a month of competition. Organisers expect high demand for tickets, particularly for the opening match between Saudi Arabia and Palestine, as well as the final scheduled for February 5.

The recently completed final draw also produced several high-profile group-stage matchups. Saudi Arabia was drawn into Group A alongside Oman, Kuwait and Palestine, while reigning champions Qatar will face Japan, Thailand and Indonesia in Group F.

The AFC Asian Cup remains the continent’s premier men’s national team football tournament and is expected to draw supporters from across Asia and beyond. The 2027 edition forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider push into global sports hosting under Vision 2030, following major investments in football, Formula 1, boxing and international entertainment events.

Beyond the football itself, the tournament is expected to generate major tourism activity across host cities. Hotels, fan zones, entertainment districts and cultural activations are anticipated to play a significant role throughout the month-long competition.

The tournament branding and visual identity, officially unveiled earlier this year, draw inspiration from traditional Najdi geometric patterns and Saudi craftsmanship, reflecting the host nation’s cultural heritage.

Fans can purchase tickets through the tournament’s official platform beginning tonight as preparations continue to build toward one of the region’s biggest sporting events in recent years.
