AJi Group has launched AJi FM, a dedicated Facilities Management business headquartered in Riyadh, expanding the group’s services into the operational phase of the asset lifecycle.
The new business was announced at the Saudi Facility Management Association (SFMA) Conference & Exhibition and is designed to provide Facilities Management services aimed at supporting the long-term performance and value of built assets in Saudi Arabia.
The launch forms part of AJi Group’s wider growth strategy and its efforts to support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, under which Facilities Management is becoming an increasingly important part of the Kingdom’s built-asset sector.
Extending Services Beyond Construction
AJi FM builds on AJi Group’s existing expertise in architecture, engineering, project management and consultancy by extending its involvement into the operational stage of an asset.
The company will offer a diversified portfolio of Facilities Management services designed to improve operational efficiency and support assets throughout their working lifecycle.
Eng. Hamzeh Awwad, CEO of AJi Group, said the new business builds on the group’s experience in design, project management and infrastructure development.
He said decisions made during the design stage can influence construction, life-cycle costs and the eventual functionality of an asset. Extending this focus into operations, he added, allows AJi FM to support greater operational efficiency and long-term asset value.
One Partner Across the Asset Lifecycle
AJi Group currently provides engineering services covering design, construction supervision and project management through six verticals: Urban Environment, Wellness and Healthcare, Utilities and Environment, Mobility and Transportation, Eco-Futurism, and Advisory and Solutions.
AJi FM extends this offering into the operational phase, allowing clients to work with the group across the full asset lifecycle rather than transitioning between separate design, construction and operations partners.
Eng. Yazan Shahwan, Director of AJi Saudi Business Development Group, said AJi FM positions the company as an integrated enterprise covering services from design and construction supervision through to operations.
The new business is also positioned as one of the few dedicated Facilities Management arms established under an engineering consultancy umbrella in the region, according to AJi Group.
Supporting Long-Term Asset Performance
Majed Zeitun, Advisory Consultant at AJi FM, said Facilities Management plays an important role in protecting the long-term value of built assets.
He added that AJi FM is intended to close the gap between project handover and full operational readiness by providing clients with a specialised Facilities Management partner backed by the group’s engineering expertise.
AJi Group operates through 13 offices across the MENA region, with a team of 1,500 employees across 25 markets and a 65-year legacy.
With AJi FM, the group is expanding its role from designing and delivering assets to supporting their ongoing operation and performance in Saudi Arabia.
