Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September 8, 2026: AKDITAL Group has officially begun healthcare operations in Saudi Arabia with the opening of its first hospital in Riyadh, marking a major milestone in the Moroccan healthcare group’s international expansion and its entry into the Kingdom’s growing private healthcare sector.
The Ministry of Health and relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia have granted the necessary approvals for AKDITAL Olaya Hospital to commence operations, transitioning the Group from its planning and investment phase to the active delivery of healthcare services in the Kingdom.
Located in Riyadh’s Olaya district, the hospital is AKDITAL’s first operational facility outside Morocco and will serve as the foundation for the Group’s wider expansion plans across Saudi Arabia.
The opening represents the first phase of an ambitious investment programme through which AKDITAL plans to invest up to SAR 5.3 billion in Saudi Arabia by 2030. The Group aims to establish and operate a network of hospitals across the Kingdom, with future projects planned in major cities including Makkah, Jeddah and Madinah.
Dr. Rochdi Talib, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AKDITAL Group, said Saudi Arabia represents a key market in the Group’s international growth strategy.

Dr. Talib added that the Group’s ambition is to establish a sustainable presence in the Kingdom, beginning in Riyadh before expanding through planned projects in Makkah, Jeddah and Madinah.
AKDITAL Olaya Hospital has a capacity of 140 beds and occupies more than 17,600 square metres. The facility includes more than 50 specialised healthcare units, 11 operating and medical procedure rooms, more than 30 intensive care beds and an emergency department with a capacity of 18 beds. It also features a dedicated medical imaging and diagnostic centre.
The hospital provides a broad range of specialised healthcare services, including cardiology, oncology and haematology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dialysis and diabetes care. Dedicated women’s health services are also available, covering maternity, obstetrics and fertility care.
Through its multidisciplinary model, the hospital brings a wide range of medical services together under one roof, supporting continuity of care and providing patients with access to specialised diagnosis and treatment.
AKDITAL’s expansion into Saudi Arabia marks its first operational move beyond Morocco, where the Group currently manages a network of 45 healthcare facilities across 25 cities. The Group is also the first healthcare company to be listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
The Saudi expansion comes at a time of continued transformation across the Kingdom’s healthcare sector, driven by growing private-sector participation, investment in healthcare infrastructure and the wider objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
