Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, have expanded their real estate presence in Saudi Arabia by purchasing two luxury villas at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The resort sits within the Red Sea Destination, one of the country’s most ambitious luxury tourism developments.
The villas are part of the Red Sea Residences, a private collection of homes located on Ummahat Island, a secluded island in the Red Sea. Access is limited to boat or seaplane, which ensures a high level of privacy. The location is known for calm waters, white sand beaches, and wide open sea views, making it a quiet escape from busy city life.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez selected two different villas. One is a three-bedroom home designed for family stays. The second is a two-bedroom villa meant for shorter, more private visits. Reports say the couple were among the earliest buyers at the resort, showing early confidence in the destination and its long-term appeal.
In statements shared by the developer, Ronaldo said that both he and Georgina felt a strong connection to the island from their first visit. The peaceful surroundings and untouched nature were key reasons behind their decision. For the family, the villas are meant to be a personal retreat where they can relax away from public attention and media presence.

What Makes Nujuma Different
Nujuma is one of the most exclusive resorts within the Red Sea Destination. It features a limited number of standalone villas built to blend into the natural environment. The design focuses on open spaces, sea views, and quiet luxury rather than bold visual statements. Each villa offers direct access to the beach or water, private outdoor areas, and high-end interiors.
The resort operates under the Ritz-Carlton Reserve label, a brand known for choosing rare locations and offering highly personalised experiences. Around the world, only a small number of properties carry this name, which adds to Nujuma’s exclusivity.

Inside the Red Sea Destination
The Red Sea Destination is developed by Red Sea Global as part of Saudi Vision 2030. The goal is to diversify the Saudi economy by building world-class tourism destinations that attract international visitors and long-term residents.
The project stretches across a vast area of Saudi Arabia’s western coastline and includes islands, beaches, desert land, and mountain scenery. By 2030, plans include more than 50 hotels, around 8,000 hotel rooms, and over 1,000 residential properties.
A major focus of the development is sustainability. The destination is designed to run on renewable energy and aims to protect and restore local ecosystems such as coral reefs and mangroves. Development density is kept low to reduce environmental impact and preserve the natural landscape.
The area is served by the Red Sea International Airport, which connects the destination directly to major cities in Saudi Arabia and abroad. This makes the region accessible while still maintaining its sense of isolation.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez’s investment highlights the growing global interest in the Red Sea Destination. It is increasingly seen as a place where luxury, privacy, and nature come together, offering a new kind of high-end living in Saudi Arabia.
