Antonio Félix da Costa claimed his first win with Jaguar TCS Racing in Round 5 of the 2026 Jeddah E-Prix, after a smartly managed race that rewarded careful energy use and well-timed ATTACK MODE activations. The Portuguese driver controlled the closing stages and crossed the line 2.5 seconds clear of the pack.
Sébastien Buemi finished second after a strong charge through the field, while reigning champion Oliver Rowland secured third to complete the podium.
Da Costa made his move by being the first among the leaders to activate both of his mandatory 50kW all-wheel-drive ATTACK MODE boosts.
He used the extra power to build a gap during the second activation phase, which proved enough to stay ahead until the chequered flag. It was Jaguar’s sixth win in nine races and da Costa’s first victory since Portland in 2024.
The race saw several lead changes as drivers balanced speed with energy management. Buemi, Rowland, and Edoardo Mortara all spent time at the front. Mortara, who had taken back-to-back pole positions, eventually finished fourth after losing ground in the final laps.
Dan Ticktum came home fifth, just ahead of teammate Pepe Martí in sixth. Jaguar’s Mitch Evans finished seventh, while Round 4 winner Pascal Wehrlein managed eighth. Jean-Éric Vergne and Taylor Barnard completed the top ten.
Despite the result, Wehrlein continues to lead the Drivers’ Championship with 68 points, six ahead of Mortara on 62. Rowland sits third with 49 points. Porsche leads the Teams’ standings with 113 points, followed by Jaguar on 86.
The championship now moves to Madrid on 21 March for Round 6, with EVO Sessions set to take place in Jeddah before the next race weekend.
