Golden Dragon Group hosted a special reception in Jeddah on October 2 to mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, coinciding with the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.
Held at the group’s headquarters in Roshan Mall in north Jeddah, the event brought together diplomats, business leaders and representatives from various sectors to celebrate cultural ties and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China.
The reception was held following an invitation from Liu Yingdong, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Golden Dragon Group, with participation and hosting by Jeddah Dragon Palace, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Jeddah and the Wisdom Palace Chinese Language Academy.
The event was also supported by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah and the Chinese Enterprises Association.

Held under the theme “One Sky, Aspiring for a Brighter Future,” the celebration focused on strengthening friendship and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China.
It also highlighted opportunities to deepen cultural and investment exchanges between the Jeddah business community and its Chinese counterpart.

The programme featured a range of activities reflecting Chinese culture and contemporary innovation.
Guests experienced traditional cultural and artistic performances, explored an exhibition showcasing technological innovations and enjoyed authentic Chinese cuisine.
The gathering provided a platform for members of the diplomatic and business communities to connect while celebrating two important occasions on the Chinese calendar.
The event reflected the growing cultural and business interaction between the Saudi and Chinese communities in Jeddah, bringing together heritage, technology, investment and cultural exchange under one roof.
