Ten Saudi students and graduates will join an eight-week hands-on program at Hyundai Motor Group’s global headquarters in Seoul

Seoul, South Korea – July 7, 2026: Hyundai Motor Group has expanded its traineeship program with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation, Misk, offering 10 Saudi students and graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the Group’s global headquarters in Seoul.
The eight-week program, which began on July 6, is being delivered under the Misk Skills Track. Participants will work across key strategic and business divisions, contributing to projects and research while gaining direct exposure to the operations of a global automotive group.
The program attracted more than 2,500 applicants from across Saudi Arabia, reflecting strong interest among young Saudis in international learning and career development opportunities. Ten participants were selected following an evaluation of their professional capabilities, global communication skills and growth potential.
The initiative builds on a pilot program launched in 2025 with two trainees. Following its success, the program has been expanded across Hyundai Motor Group for 2026.
“Saudi Arabia is a key strategic market and an important partner in Hyundai Motor Group’s long-term vision,” said Hokeun Chung, Executive Vice President of Future Strategy Division at Hyundai Motor Group.
“We are pleased to partner with the Misk Foundation to welcome talented Saudi youth to Hyundai Motor Group through this traineeship program. This experience will provide participants with valuable skills and firsthand insight into our business, innovation, and future vision.”
He added that the initiative would help nurture future talent, strengthen relations between South Korea and Saudi Arabia and support deeper collaboration in the years ahead.
From Two Trainees to Ten
The expansion follows meetings held in October 2025 between Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung and Dr. Badr Hamoud Al-Badr, CEO of the Misk Foundation.
The discussions helped build on the first traineeship cohort and strengthen the wider partnership between the two organizations.
This year, the program has grown from two trainees to 10, while also expanding across the Group’s major business and strategic functions.
“The success of the first cohort demonstrated the value of this partnership and the impact it can create for Saudi youth,” said Asma Al Jasser, Director of Misk Skills Track at the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation.
“Expanding our collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group this year reflects our shared commitment to developing future talent through global learning experiences that prepare young people for the evolving workforce.”
She added that Misk Skills aims to create opportunities that provide young people with practical experience, global perspectives and the confidence to lead.
Hands-On Experience at Hyundai Motor Group
During the eight-week traineeship, participants will gain experience across areas connected to Hyundai Motor Group’s strategic priorities, including global strategy, design and business operations.
The program is designed to give trainees a closer understanding of how a global company operates while introducing them to the Group’s technologies, strategic priorities and future business initiatives.
Participants will also contribute to real-world projects and research focused on Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. The experience will include professional development and networking opportunities designed to strengthen their skills and global outlook.
The program comes as Hyundai Motor Group continues to deepen its engagement with Saudi Arabia and expand cooperation beyond the automotive sector.
A Growing Saudi-Korean Partnership
The traineeship is part of a broader partnership between Hyundai Motor Group and the Misk Foundation focused on talent development and greater exchange between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
The Group will continue its involvement with the Misk Global Forum in November. Planned initiatives include the HMG Smart City Workshop, which will be held for the second consecutive year, along with sponsorship activities.
Looking ahead, Hyundai Motor Group plans to expand its cooperation with the Misk Foundation and support further human exchange between the two countries. The partnership is also expected to contribute to wider collaboration across industries and related sectors.
Through the expanded traineeship program and other joint initiatives, Hyundai Motor Group and the Misk Foundation aim to support the development of future Saudi talent while strengthening long-term cooperation between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
