Jabal Omar Development Company hosted a field and media programme for journalists covering the Khaleeji 27 tournament in Jeddah, taking the delegation to Makkah for a programme combining religious, hospitality and urban development experiences.
The initiative brought together the sporting and real estate sectors, offering visiting media representatives an opportunity to explore major development projects and Saudi hospitality in the holy city.
Visit to Al Diyar Al Arabia
The programme began with the media delegation travelling from Jeddah to Makkah.
As part of the journey, the group visited Al Diyar Al Arabia, the tournament’s main partner and official sponsor. The delegation was introduced to the Diyar Al Haram project and its facilities within the Masar destination, gaining an insight into the company’s urban development projects and services.

Al Diyar Al Arabia also highlighted its involvement in Khaleeji 27, including sponsorship activities and the “Player of the Match” awards.
The company is also offering a luxury residential unit in Makkah as the tournament’s grand prize for the best player at the conclusion of the competition.

Umrah and Jabal Omar Experience
The delegation then continued to Makkah for Umrah before visiting key projects within the Jabal Omar destination.
The tour included the twin Address Jabal Omar towers, which overlook the Grand Mosque and feature luxury rooms and suites alongside hospitality and service facilities.
Journalists also visited the suspended prayer area, described as the world’s highest suspended prayer space, offering panoramic views of the Grand Mosque.
The programme also introduced the delegation to other components of the Jabal Omar destination, including museums, a hospital and an international conference venue.
The media representatives also spent a night at the hotel as part of the programme.

Bringing Sport, Culture and Development Together
The programme received positive feedback from participating journalists, who highlighted the organisation, hospitality and coordination throughout the visit.
The delegation said the experience provided an opportunity to combine the performance of religious rituals with a closer look at the urban development taking place in Makkah.
The collaboration between Jabal Omar Development Company and Al Diyar Al Arabia also highlighted the cultural and community dimensions surrounding Khaleeji 27, which brings together Gulf national teams in Jeddah.
The initiative further showcased Jabal Omar’s role in providing hospitality and hosting experiences for visitors to Makkah during major events and occasions.
