King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival 2026 Adds Three Rounds for Mongolian Falcons Sold at Saudi Falcon Exhibition

The King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival 2026 will introduce three dedicated competition rounds for Mongolian falcons purchased at the Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026.

The rounds will include one Al-Malwah round and two beauty competition rounds, covering the Farkh and Qarnas categories.

The initiative will allow both local and international falconers to compete with Mongolian falcons purchased at the exhibition, subject to the competition regulations.

Participation Rules

To qualify, the falcon must be purchased from the exhibition organised by the Saudi Falcons Club and must be ringed at the time of purchase before leaving the exhibition.

Each owner can participate with a maximum of five falcons purchased from the exhibition.

The dedicated Mongolian falcon rounds will take place after the festival’s final rounds.

For the beauty competition, participants must provide proof of ownership and can register up to five falcons in each round. A falcon that competes in the Al-Malwah competition can also participate in the beauty competition.

Requirements for the Beauty Competition

The competition rules require participating falcons to meet specific technical standards.

Falcons must be free from congenital defects, signs of tampering or modification, and missing feathers. Changes to the colour of the feathers, feet or claws are also prohibited.

Participating falcons must meet the established technical criteria for their respective categories.

Linking Exhibition Purchases to Competition

The dedicated rounds are intended to give Mongolian falcons sold at the exhibition an additional competitive pathway, connecting their purchase with opportunities to participate in both Al-Malwah racing and beauty competitions.

The Saudi Falcons Club said the initiative forms part of its efforts to develop falconry competitions, expand participation opportunities for falconers and owners, and support falconry activities throughout the season.

The Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026 will take place from October 1 to 10 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.

Held under the theme “A Destination for Everyone,” the exhibition will feature activities and experiences connected to falconry, hunting, heritage, travel and adventure.
