Lucid has introduced Air UX 3.0, a major software update for the Lucid Air that brings a faster and more intuitive digital experience to the electric sedan.
Inspired by the interface introduced in Lucid Gravity, the update redesigns navigation, media, profiles and vehicle controls while making frequently used features easier to access.
Air UX 3.0 is included with Software Version 2.11.0 and is being delivered through an over-the-air update to eligible Lucid Air vehicles.
Redesigned Controls and Easier Access
The update introduces a redesigned Home experience on the Left Cockpit Panel, featuring swipeable cards that place frequently used functions within easier reach.
Drivers can access media, vehicle controls, calls, saved home and work destinations, and nearby charging stations directly from the Home screen. When certain functions are active, temporary cards can also appear, while a swipe opens the full application on the Pilot Panel.
New Quick Controls allow drivers to swipe down from the top of the Pilot Panel to access frequently used settings and controls.
Air UX 3.0 also makes it easier to move between navigation, media, vehicle controls and applications across the Cockpit and Pilot Panel displays.
Improved Profiles and Security
The software update brings faster profile switching and gives the Primary profile greater control over linked keys.
It also introduces an easier process for resetting the Guest profile, along with a PIN-protected process for exiting Guest mode and six-digit PIN authentication for additional security.
Smarter EV Navigation
Air UX 3.0 introduces an updated dual-screen navigation experience with features including Favorites and Auto Dark Mode.
EV routing has also been expanded, allowing drivers to customise routes based on preferred charging networks, charging adapter compatibility and the minimum range they want to have remaining when they reach their destination.
Expanded Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
The update improves the performance and reliability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while expanding both experiences across the full right side of the Cockpit Display.
The wider interface gives drivers more space to access phone calls, music apps, directions and messages.
Both wireless and USB connections are supported.
Availability
Air UX 3.0 is available as part of Software Version 2.11.0 for eligible Lucid Air vehicles.
For model year 2025 and newer vehicles, the update is delivered over the air. For model year 2022, 2023 and some 2024 Lucid Air vehicles, the new experience requires an infotainment processor upgrade.
In the United States, the hardware upgrade is priced at $950, including installation and excluding applicable taxes. Pricing in other markets will be announced separately.
According to Lucid, the update reflects its focus on continuously improving the customer experience by bringing newer software capabilities to existing vehicles.
