Madinah Welcomes Visitors with a New Calendar of Cultural Events This March

Madinah has introduced a vibrant March events calendar featuring a variety of cultural, entertainment, and tourism experiences designed to attract both residents and visitors. The program is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to promote tourism and community activities as part of the Madinah Winter Season.

The calendar includes a wide range of events such as cultural festivals, art activities, outdoor adventures, and Ramadan-themed programs. Organizers say the initiative aims to provide a comprehensive experience that combines entertainment, heritage, and tourism across the city.

One of the key highlights of the March lineup is the 14th Cultures and Peoples Festival, scheduled to run from March 29 to April 6 at the Islamic University of Madinah. The festival will feature participants from dozens of countries, each presenting their traditions, cuisine, and cultural heritage through exhibitions and live performances.

Another major part of the program is a series of Ramadan activities organized by the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, which will continue until March 19. These activities include workshops and exhibitions that showcase Saudi crafts and traditional arts such as calligraphy, weaving, and decorative design.

In addition to cultural events, the city is also offering several tourism experiences for visitors. These include guided tours such as the Mount Uhud experience, which introduces visitors to the historical significance of the famous mountain and its role in Islamic history. Visitors can also join free sightseeing tours around Madinah, providing an opportunity to explore the city’s landmarks and heritage sites.

Outdoor activities are also part of the program, with opportunities for hiking, camping, and adventure tourism in the surrounding natural areas. These experiences aim to encourage visitors to explore more of Madinah beyond its well-known religious landmarks.

The March events calendar reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to enhance cultural tourism and diversify experiences for visitors. By offering a mix of heritage, entertainment, and outdoor activities, Madinah continues to strengthen its reputation as a destination that blends spiritual significance with cultural discovery.

As the month progresses, the city is expected to welcome thousands of visitors eager to experience the diverse events and activities that highlight Madinah’s history, culture, and community life.
