Motor Mania GT Announced as New Support Series for Aramco Formula 4 Saudi Championship

Saudi Arabia’s motorsport scene is set to gain another major attraction with the launch of Motor Mania GT, a brand-new GT racing series that will make its debut as an official support championship for the Aramco Formula 4 Saudi Championship. The announcement marks another step in the Kingdom’s efforts to expand its motorsport ecosystem and provide more opportunities for professional and amateur drivers to compete on world-class circuits.

Motor Mania GT will feature a multi-class racing grid made up of high-performance GT machinery from renowned manufacturers, including Ferrari, McLaren, Radical, and Ginetta. The championship is designed to deliver competitive racing while creating an accessible platform for drivers looking to progress into higher levels of GT competition. Organisers say the series aims to combine professional race weekends with an inclusive environment that welcomes both experienced racers and emerging talent.

The inaugural season will take place across two of the Middle East’s premier racing venues. Events are scheduled for October and December, with races hosted at the iconic Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia and Lusail International Circuit in Qatar. Running alongside the Aramco Formula 4 Saudi Championship is expected to give Motor Mania GT strong visibility while offering fans an expanded race weekend experience.

According to the organisers, the introduction of Motor Mania GT addresses a long-standing gap in Saudi Arabia’s motorsport landscape. While GT racing enjoys strong global popularity, the Kingdom has lacked a dedicated and structured championship capable of supporting drivers and teams in this category. The new series aims to establish a clear pathway for GT racing in the region while laying the foundation for future growth.

The organisers have also outlined ambitions to evolve Motor Mania GT into a championship that follows internationally recognised GT standards. Future plans include implementing Balance of Performance (BoP) regulations and other technical and sporting measures commonly used in established GT3 and GT4 championships worldwide. These developments are intended to ensure competitive parity while attracting a broader range of teams and manufacturers in the coming years.

Motor Mania GT also becomes the latest addition to the wider Motor Mania platform, which already includes the successful Time Attack programme. By expanding into GT racing, the organisers are creating a more comprehensive motorsport ecosystem that serves drivers, fans, partners, and sponsors alike.

The announcement comes at a time when Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a global destination for motorsport. With Formula 1, Formula E, Dakar Rally, regional championships, and grassroots racing initiatives all gaining momentum, Motor Mania GT is expected to play an important role in nurturing local talent while delivering exciting GT racing to audiences across the region. As preparations begin for the inaugural season, the championship represents another milestone in the Kingdom’s rapidly growing motorsport ambitions.
