As summer temperatures continue to rise across the UAE, OMODA & JAECOO is highlighting how its self-developed Super Hybrid System (SHS) is designed to help motorists tackle the season’s toughest driving conditions with greater efficiency, performance and comfort.
Developed for real-world driving, the SHS combines high performance, low fuel consumption and long driving range, making it well suited for daily commutes, inter-Emirate travel and weekend road trips, even with continuous air-conditioning use.
Powering the JAECOO J7 SHS is a fifth-generation hybrid engine with an industry-leading 44.5% thermal efficiency, intelligent thermal management and a dedicated hybrid transmission offering up to 98.5% transmission efficiency. The system automatically switches between electric and petrol power to optimise fuel consumption, particularly in stop-and-go city traffic.
The hybrid SUV delivers an official combined fuel consumption of 6L/100km and offers a driving range of up to 1,200km on a full tank and full battery. Unlike plug-in hybrid vehicles, the HEV system does not require external charging, allowing drivers to enjoy hybrid benefits without depending on charging infrastructure.
Performance remains a key strength, with the combined hybrid powertrain producing up to 328 horsepower and 515Nm of torque, providing smooth acceleration, confident overtaking and effortless highway cruising.
Beyond hybrid technology, OMODA & JAECOO continues to expand its intelligent mobility ecosystem. The company recently hosted its “One Community. One Passion. One Drive.” event at Yas Marina Circuit, bringing together more than 350 participants, including over 150 OMODA & JAECOO owners, for a community drive and football watch party.
The brand is also investing in future mobility innovations through its AiMOGA humanoid robotics programme, which explores AI-powered customer experiences across automotive, retail and hospitality sectors through multilingual interaction and intelligent assistance.
Looking ahead, OMODA & JAECOO plans to introduce Valet Parking Driving (VPD), also known as Super Intelligent Parking (SIVP), in the UAE.
