A major off-road event is scheduled for January 16, 2026, in Hail, where hundreds of off-road vehicles are expected to join in what organisers describe as The Largest Convoy of Off-Road Production Cars. The convoy is one of the highlights of the broader Modified Cars and Off-Road Trips Exhibition taking place in the region this winter.
The exhibition, which runs from December 5, 2025 to February 7, 2026, is designed to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s growing adventure and motorsport culture. Among its main attractions is the planned convoy of production off-road vehicles, with organisers aiming to bring together an impressive fleet along scenic desert and rough terrain routes around Hail.
According to the official Saudi tourism site Visit Saudi, the convoy is expected to include 600 to 700 off-road vehicles forming a continuous line over a course of roughly seven kilometres. The event is intended to showcase the capability of these vehicles and highlight off-road driving as a recreational and competitive pursuit in the Kingdom.
Hail is well-suited to events of this nature. The city, known as the ‘Bride of the North’, lies between the Shammar Mountains and the wide desert plains of northern Saudi Arabia, offering varied landscapes that appeal to off-road enthusiasts.
Participants in the convoy are expected to include local adventure drivers, off-road clubs and motor enthusiasts from across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. Such gatherings are also an opportunity for participants to network, share experiences, and test their vehicles on challenging terrain.

Although the event’s title suggests a record-breaking scale, the organisers have not yet confirmed any affiliation with an official Guinness World Record attempt. The current recognised world record for the largest convoy of off-road vehicles was set in Australia in 2016 with 449 vehicles, according to the Guinness World Records database.
Local authorities in Hail have been preparing for increased visitor numbers during the convoy weekend, with traffic and safety plans in place. Lodging and tours around the convoy route are also being offered to visitors arriving from other parts of the Kingdom.
The overall Modified Cars and Off-Road Trips Exhibition showcases not only the convoy but also gatherings, displays and activities for automotive enthusiasts. It is part of a series of winter-season events that visit different regions of Saudi Arabia, aiming to expand tourism and lifestyle experiences across the country.
For many in the off-road community, the January 16 convoy is shaping up to be one of the largest such gatherings in the Kingdom this year. Organisers expect it to draw attention from both participants and spectators who are interested in extreme driving, vehicle performance and the scenic landscapes of Hail.
Registration details and exact convoy routes are being shared by local event coordinators through social media and official channels as the date approaches.
