Innovation Day in Al Khobar brought together industrial professionals to explore how reliable testing, measurement and diagnostics can support safer, smarter and more resilient operations.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September 9, 2026: As Saudi Arabia accelerates its industrial transformation and continues to invest in major infrastructure and development projects, the need for reliable maintenance, testing and asset management is becoming increasingly critical. The two-day event provided a platform for industry professionals to explore emerging technologies and practical approaches to industrial reliability, maintenance and workplace safety. The programme featured technical workshops, customer presentations, hands-on demonstrations and discussions focused on the evolving needs of Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector.

According to the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA), projects awarded in Saudi Arabia during June 2026 were valued at more than SAR 29.5 billion ($7.9 billion) across 25 projects. The scale of ongoing development highlights the importance of ensuring that increasingly complex industrial and infrastructure assets remain safe, reliable and efficient throughout their operational lifecycles.

At the same time, digital transformation is changing how industrial organisations monitor and manage physical assets. Aramco, for example, identified 442 AI use cases across its operations, with more than 200 solutions deployed and over 100 in development as of late 2025. As organisations increasingly rely on artificial intelligence, connected systems and predictive technologies, the accuracy of the physical data feeding these systems becomes increasingly important.

While digital tools can identify patterns and potential failure risks, their effectiveness ultimately depends on reliable information from the assets being monitored. Accurate testing and measurement therefore remain fundamental to validating digital insights, understanding asset conditions and determining the appropriate maintenance response.

This is particularly relevant in Saudi Arabia’s demanding operating environments, where industrial and infrastructure assets can face extreme heat, dust, continuous high-load operations and complex working conditions. These included reliability fundamentals, electrical infrastructure optimisation, predictive maintenance, thermal-acoustic synergy, process calibration, process instrumentation and workforce protection technologies.

The event placed testing and measurement technologies within the context of the practical decisions faced by industrial teams every day, from troubleshooting equipment and assessing asset health to improving maintenance strategies and protecting critical operations.

The programme also included dedicated technical workshops covering process calibration, power quality analysis and alignment, followed by the main Fluke Innovation Day seminar. More than 80 registered industry professionals attended the event, alongside Fluke representatives and channel partners.

Hands-on demonstrations provided participants with opportunities to explore technologies spanning industrial testing, process calibration, condition monitoring, alignment and workplace safety. The format enabled technical professionals to examine how measurement and diagnostic technologies can be integrated into real-world maintenance and reliability workflows.
