Art Jameel is set to present its first-ever dual exhibition across two cities, with a major contemporary art show opening in both Jeddah and Dubai this May.
Titled “Global Positioning System,” the exhibition will run at Hayy Jameel in Jeddah from May 20 to October 17, 2026, and at Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai from May 9 to October 4, 2026.
Bringing together more than 40 artists from over 20 countries, the exhibition explores themes of navigation, mapping, and movement in today’s interconnected world. Through a mix of large-scale installations, conceptual works, and research-driven projects, the show examines how systems of mobility shape everyday life while also questioning their limitations.

Curated by Indranjan Banerjee and Lucas Morin, the exhibition marks a significant milestone for Art Jameel, as it is the first time a single show is presented simultaneously across its two major cultural hubs in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The dual format reflects the organization’s broader vision of connecting audiences across regions while creating shared cultural experiences. By spanning both cities, the exhibition highlights the growing role of Jeddah and Dubai as key centers for contemporary art in the Middle East.
Art Jameel, known for its commitment to supporting artists and creative communities, continues to expand its programming through innovative formats like this. With its cross-border approach and global artist lineup, the exhibition is expected to attract visitors, art enthusiasts, and cultural audiences from across the region.
