Rixos Murjana Opens in Saudi Arabia as Kingdom’s Largest All-Inclusive Resort

Rixos Murjana has opened in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, marking a major milestone for the Kingdom’s tourism sector. The resort began welcoming guests on February 1, 2026, and is now operating as the country’s largest ultra all-inclusive resort on the Red Sea coast.

The property covers approximately 275,000 square metres and is developed by Rixos Hotels. It is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to strengthen its hospitality offerings and attract more international visitors as tourism becomes a growing segment of the national economy.

Rixos Murjana features a mix of 488 rooms and suites, many with views over the Red Sea, alongside 33 private villas that cater to premium travellers. The resort’s design blends modern architecture with cultural elements inspired by the region.

The all-inclusive resort includes multiple dining venues offering international and regional cuisine, wellness and spa facilities, and outdoor leisure spaces. A 600-metre private beach gives guests direct access to the Red Sea, and dedicated family-oriented facilities include the Kingdom’s largest kids’ club and a dedicated teens’ club.

A signature feature of the resort is its integrated water park, which offers a range of slides, pools and entertainment options suitable for families. The resort positions itself as both a luxury destination and a family holiday choice.

The opening of Rixos Murjana reflects Saudi Arabia’s push to diversify its economy under Vision 2030 by expanding hospitality infrastructure and creating globally competitive leisure destinations. The resort aims to draw visitors from across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, contributing to the Kingdom’s growing tourism footprint.
