Samhaniya Thrift is set to return for its second edition this week in Riyadh, bringing back a growing community of vintage sellers, collectors and streetwear enthusiasts for another round of curated thrift culture.
The three-day event will run from May 7 to May 9 in Samhaniya, Diriyah, with daily timings from 6 PM to 1 AM. Following the response to its debut edition earlier this year, the pop-up is expected to draw a larger crowd and a wider mix of vendors.
Organised with support from Saudi Thrift, the event brings together 11 local brands offering a mix of pre-loved fashion, vintage clothing, accessories, vinyl records and even video games. The concept is simple but effective. It creates a physical space where second-hand culture meets community, allowing visitors to explore unique pieces that are not typically found in mainstream retail.
The location itself adds to the experience. Samhaniya, part of Diriyah’s historic mudbrick district, provides a distinct backdrop that blends heritage with contemporary youth culture. The setting reflects the shift in Riyadh’s retail scene, where alternative shopping formats are becoming more visible.

Samhaniya Thrift builds on the growing interest in thrifting across the city. Younger audiences in particular are moving towards sustainable fashion choices and one-of-a-kind pieces, driving demand for curated second-hand marketplaces. Events like this are becoming more than just shopping destinations. They function as social spaces where people gather, discover and engage with emerging local brands.
Visitors can expect racks of carefully selected clothing, from vintage streetwear and denim to rare finds sourced from different markets. Many of the participating sellers focus on curation, offering items that reflect specific styles such as Y2K fashion, retro sportswear and classic essentials.
The second edition also highlights the rise of independent sellers in Saudi Arabia’s fashion ecosystem. For many vendors, thrift events provide an accessible platform to reach new audiences without the structure of traditional retail.
Entry to the event is priced at SAR10 at the gate, making it accessible to a wide audience. The evening timings further position it as a casual outing, encouraging visitors to browse at their own pace.
With its second edition kicking off this week, Samhaniya Thrift continues to build momentum as part of Riyadh’s evolving thrift and street culture scene.
