Saudi Music Commission Partners with Jazz in Jeddah to Strengthen Kingdom’s Music Industry

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Music Commission has announced a strategic partnership with the Jazz in Jeddah platform in a move aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia’s music sector, supporting local talent, and expanding the Kingdom’s cultural economy through world-class musical experiences.

Organized by Neda Culture, the partnership reflects the Music Commission’s commitment to increasing private sector participation in cultural initiatives while supporting high-quality music projects and festivals that contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 cultural ambitions.

Jazz in Jeddah has established itself as a national platform dedicated to discovering emerging musical talent and developing artists through jazz education while blending the genre with Saudi cultural heritage. The initiative delivers training programs, cultural exchange opportunities, and international festivals that bring together participants from more than 10 countries each year. It also supports local musicians through music production and professional development initiatives.

The platform’s events are hosted in Historic Jeddah (Al-Balad), creating an immersive setting where musicians and audiences come together to celebrate jazz while highlighting Saudi Arabia’s evolving music scene. The events encourage artistic collaboration between Saudi performers and international musicians, creating new opportunities for cultural exchange. Organizers said additional details about upcoming events will be announced through official social media channels.

Beyond live performances, the platform serves as a bridge between Saudi musical traditions and jazz, presenting artistic programs that combine diverse musical influences into performances that reflect the creativity and growing diversity of the Kingdom’s contemporary music landscape.

Mohamed Bakhrebah, founder of Jazz in Jeddah, said Saudi audiences and musicians deserve a world-class platform that nurtures creativity and artistic excellence. He noted that the strategic partnership will help expand jazz music across the Kingdom while investing in Saudi artists and preserving the country’s rich musical heritage.

Bakhrebah added that the collaboration highlights the connection between cultural development and economic growth by providing Saudi musicians with professional training, mentorship opportunities, and shared performance stages alongside international artists. These initiatives are expected to enhance artistic skills, increase global exposure, and strengthen collaboration between local and international music communities.

Paul Pacifico, Chief Executive Officer of the Music Commission, said the growth of Saudi Arabia’s music sector accelerates when public institutions and the private sector work together. He noted that Jazz in Jeddah has built a strong relationship with both artists and audiences, and the new partnership will transform that success into long-term opportunities that enrich the Kingdom’s music industry while strengthening Saudi Arabia’s presence on the global cultural stage.

The partnership marks another step in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to develop a vibrant and sustainable creative economy, positioning the Kingdom as an emerging destination for international music, cultural exchange, and artistic innovation.
