Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has officially launched the third edition of TCS Sustainathon Saudi Arabia 2026, inviting university students across the Kingdom to develop innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions that support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 sustainability goals.
Running from June 10 to July 30, 2026, the competition provides young innovators with a platform to address pressing environmental and social challenges using AI while contributing to the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
Under the theme “AI for Sustainable Futures,” this year’s Sustainathon encourages participants to create practical, technology-driven solutions that can help build resilient communities, smarter systems, and a more sustainable future.
As Saudi Arabia continues to invest in smart cities, renewable energy, food security, and digital innovation, AI has become a key driver of sustainable development. Through Sustainathon, TCS aims to empower students to transform innovative ideas into real-world solutions with the guidance of industry experts.
Three Sustainability Challenge Areas
Participants can choose to develop solutions in one of the following challenge categories:
- AI for Smarter Resource & Energy Communities
- AI for Sustainable Food Security & Smart Agriculture
- AI for Community Health & Well-being
Competition Journey
The competition follows a structured innovation journey where participants will:
- Register for the competition
- Form or join a team
- Select a challenge statement and develop an AI-powered solution
- Present their ideas, with the top 10 teams advancing to the grand finale
Before submitting their projects, participants are required to follow the official submission guidelines, prepare their presentation using the provided solution template, and upload a completed team consent form.
Attractive Cash Prizes
Winning teams will receive cash prizes along with branded TCS goodie bags and certificates.
Prize categories include:
- First Prize: SAR 15,000 + Certificate + Goodie Bags
- Second Prize: SAR 10,000 + Certificate + Goodie Bags
- Third Prize: SAR 7,000 + Certificate + Goodie Bags
In addition, the top seven finalist teams will each receive SAR 4,000, while all winning teams will also gain a unique opportunity to engage with TCS technology experts.
