Saudi Arabia is preparing to open Aquarabia Water Park, a major new attraction near Riyadh, with the launch expected in March 2026 around the Eid Al-Fitr holiday period. The highly anticipated water park will be located in Qiddiya City, the Kingdom’s upcoming entertainment and tourism destination, about 40 minutes from Riyadh.
The opening is expected to coincide with the Eid Al-Fitr holidays starting around March 19, 2026, although some reports suggest the park may open shortly after Eid to manage the large number of visitors expected during the holiday period.
Aquarabia will be the first water theme park of its kind in Saudi Arabia and is set to become the largest water park in the Middle East. The park will cover an area of about 250,000 square meters and feature 22 rides and attractions spread across several themed zones.

The new attraction is designed to appeal to families, thrill seekers, and tourists alike. Among its highlights will be several record-breaking rides, including the Junoon Drop, expected to be the world’s tallest and longest water coaster. The park will also include wave pools, a surfing lagoon, interactive water play areas, and extreme water experiences such as rafting and cliff-jumping attractions.
Aquarabia will also feature eight themed areas, luxury cabanas, restaurants, and retail spaces, creating a full entertainment experience for visitors.
The water park is part of the wider Qiddiya City project, a massive entertainment development backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund under the Vision 2030 strategy. Qiddiya aims to become one of the world’s leading destinations for entertainment, sports, and culture, with attractions including theme parks, sports facilities, and cultural venues.
Aquarabia will be the second major attraction to open in Qiddiya City, following the launch of Six Flags Qiddiya City in December 2025. Together, these developments are expected to attract millions of visitors each year and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s growing tourism sector.
Once it opens, Aquarabia is expected to become one of the most exciting family destinations in the region, offering a new entertainment experience in the heart of Saudi Arabia.
